Applesauce

Serving Size: 4 cups


Ingredients

  • 4-5 apples
  • 1 cup of water
  • ¼ cup of lemon juice
  • ¼ cup of sugar
  • ¼ tsp of cinnamon

Step by Step

  1. Peel and core the apples. Dice them up into cubes.
  2. In a pot, add in the diced apples, water, lemon juice, and sugar, and mix.
  3. On medium high heat, cook the apple mixture until apples are softened. Stir occasionally.
  4. Using a blender, blend the apples until there are no more large pieces. It should be fairly quick.
  5. Add in the cinnamon and stir until it is spread throughout.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Salsa

Serving Size: 4 cups


Ingredients:

  • 2 beef tomatoes or 2 cups of grape tomatoes
  • ½ of a red onion
  • 1 bunch of cilantro (about ¾ cup)
  • 1½ tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp of lime juice (about ½ a lime)

Step by Step:

  1. Dice up the tomato, red onion, and cilantro.
  2. Add in the salt, garlic powder, and lime juice.
  3. Cover and shake until throughly mixed.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before eating.
