Hello there! This website is designed to be a place for great recipes, helpful resources, and articles on the science behind cooking.
It started out as a place to record various recipes that have been tried and tested by me. After many different methods of recording and memorizing dishes, I found that a website would be the best place to store, update, and share recipes with friends and family. Once the recipes were uploaded, I decided I could expand the website to contain more content.
I added resources that I found helpful to reference whenever I cook. There's a conversion tool to help change metric to customary or to calculate cups to grams of popular ingredients. Resources also include a list of my recommended products and brands to use, including pictures, where to buy them, and the recipes I use the products in. After trying many different products, I like to note the ones that worked well so I don't forget the next time I need it.
After the resources were created, I wanted to include another one of my interests: science. In addition to recipes, this website also has short articles about the science behind cooking. If you are a curious mind like me or want to better understand food science, I've written some posts that talk about why we have to do certain things when we cook, like use a separate bowl when whisking egg whites.
